I FTPd a show to ia331326.us.archive.org this afternoon and when I click on the link to start the processing, I get an error:

> cannot connect to DB on homeserver.us.archive.org after
> 30 retried attempts!

The URL where the error shows up is

http://www.archive.org/checkin/FatCats2006-10-14.oktava.shnf

I went back and checked, the neither the files nor the directory are present on the FTP server I uploaded them to.

Is this related to the FTP problems other people are reporting, or has something else gone wrong? What, if anything, should/can I do to fix the problem?

Thanks,
Brad

I tried going to the check-in page again, and it worked this time, letting me do the usual filling in of the forms.

The item was created

http://www.archive.org/details/FatCats2006-10-14.oktava.shnf

but all the tasks are coloured red, which means they're waiting for the admin; the item also doesn't show up in the "where am I in line?" page. My guess is that all I can/should do at this point is wait it out.

Aloha,
Brad

I just checked again, and there aren't any tasks waiting to finish, but no derived files were created, even though I specified there were to be created. It looks like all I have to do is go to the "Item Manager" page for the show and hit the "derive" button, but I'm not sure, and I've never done anything to a show after it's been processed.

Aloha,
Brad

I've started the derive process for you. I'll monitor it and let you know when it's good.

Thanks

Thanks! I just checked, the files look like they're all there.
